Chinchilla rabbits are very curious and intelligent animals. They are known to be one of the best pets to have in a house hold. They have a very unique personality; they are frisky, feisty, energetic, and docile. They are also intelligent, curious, and very gentle type of animal. When you are handling a Chinchilla they can be jumpy and nervous, you should be careful when handling a Chinchilla. They have been a favored pet with its good looks and unique personality ever since the end of the First World War.

The Chinchilla is known to be one of the most beautiful rabbits out there. Normal Chinchillas should weigh fro a range of 5 to 7 pounds; this is how much a normal healthy Chinchilla should weigh. They have a cubby appearance and a compact structure, they have long ears that stand up, and they shouldn't ever exceed 5 inches in lengths. Chinchillas come in 7 different colors, black, tan, angora, Siamese, marten sable, blue, iron gray, and brown. The under fur of the Chinchilla can be dark with a slate of blue, and the middle can be pearly with the top as a black color. Some Chinchillas are breed for petting and some are breed for meat purposes.

Breeding standard Chinchillas are usually successful, they have no problems breeding and do it fairly easily. The breed from 4-6 babies on average litter size, mothers that gave birth usually have nice fat and healthy babies. Chinchillas are best to be kept in a dry area when having it as a pet, they also like to roll around in piles of dust, which is amusing to the animal. It is best for the Chinchilla to roll around in the dust once or twice a week, and make sure it is large enough for the Chinchilla to stretch its legs and arms.

Chinchillas are very active animals, and curious, the treadmill is a very good toy for the Chinchilla, it will run, hop, and jump off and on the walls. They like to play with many types of things, such as any sort of ball, water, treadmills, and anything else they can get there hands on and with curious heads around. Most chinchillas can be pet worthy, but some maybe too aggressive and will not be able to control as a pet, and is better off being left for professional care, or left running wild.

Thus, I feel that Chinchillas are one of the best animals to have in a house hold, beside dogs. Chinchillas are very easy to take care of and are known as one of the best house pets on the market. If you get a normal Chinchilla I'm sure you will not be disappointed by how much happiness it can bring you and your family. Also its better to have 2 chinchillas so the first one will not be lonely by itself.
